- In The Song of the Lark I, Thea Kronborg asks Professor Wunsch to translate a line that she has found in a book given to her by Dr. Archie: "Lente currite, lente currite, noctis equi." He writes "in a clear, elegant Gothic hand, -- 'Go slowly, go slowly, ye steeds of the night.'"
