1180 MURRAY HILL AVENUE4 My Dear Mariel1;

I wish to thank you for remembering me, and, even more than that, for the picture itself. It’s the first I’ve had of you since you were in college. and It seems very real and life like to me, and it gives me pleasure to have it.

Isabelle5 and I send you the best of good wishes for the new year, and I hope that this one may bring us within seeing distance of each other, Mariel. My love to your mother6 and to Frances7 and Ellen8, and please remember me warmly to Mr.9 and Mrs. Jones10.

Lovingly always, Willa
