F.G. Dear Mr. Greenslet1;

My friend Mr. Edwin Winter4 sends me the enclosed card. Won't you please look the matter up for me? Surely, if Antonia5 is out of print--which I hope it isn't-- the publishers would give a shop like Dutton6 some date as to when they would have it. This card sounds as if the book were unobtainable just now7; yeat I had hoped there would be some demand for it the West, following Sinclair Lewis8' lectures there9. The book sold fifteen hundred copies this last year, you know, and surely pays its own way.

On my last statement I noticed that the second serial rights10 of "O Pioneers!"11 have been placed somewhere. Can you tell me where?

Will you please ask your representative here2 to send me two copies of Antonia and charge to my account? If you send them direct, I have to go to customs. He must have some, forthe booksellers here say they prefer to order from New York12.Even in the case of a book like Henry Adams13, Eatons' told a friend who went to order it that they could get it quicker from New York.

Please is ther a good hotel14 at Chocorua15, and what is the name of it? Elsie Sergeant16 is in New Mexico17 again.

Faithfully yours Willa Cather

How is your shoulder18? Do you still wear bandages? I do!
