⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ FG Dear Mr. Greenslet1:

I am leaving New York2 on Monday to be with an old relative3 in Washington, D.C.4, who is very ill and who expects me to spend some time with him. I shall probably be gone all of next week. If, however, by any chance I am back in New York on Wednesday, I will telephone the Houghton Mifflin office that I am in town.

Hastily yours WILLA S. CATHER Per S. J. Bloom5 Secretary
