Dear Norman Foerster1:

I am back in New York2 and will be off again for the West the end of this week. I hope my letter3 did not offend you - I was really trying to say something, but something that cannot well be said in a few words. I wish I could see you some time and talk over a few of these matters in which we are both interested. Perhaps I shall be in New York next winter and if you come to town at any time, please let me know through the Knopfs4. We might arrange a meeting that would be pleasant for both of us.

Very cordially yours, Willa Cather

P. S. Perhaps I did not tell you that I was really very much pleased by the dedication5 of your book6, and pleased to share the honor with Robert Frost7.
