⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Happy New Year, Dear Brother1!

You asked me some time ago to tell you the date on your mortgage note; it is April 10. I credited the interest as you directed.

Seriously, Roscoe, do you think you could bring your ladies3 down to New Mexico4 in the car in June and run about for a couple weeks with me? It looks now as if I would have to be there in the early summer, and I would like to know pretty soon if you would be able to join me. It would certainly be a lovely party for all of us. If you think you can do it, we will take up the details later.

Please thank the twins and Virginia for the goodies they sent me, and I hope you all had a joyous Christmas. You never told me if they got the Swiss Family5 I sent them from Chicago6.

My "Professor7", as you probably know, has had a most unexpected and gratifying financial success.8

With love to you all Willie
