What a splendid baby4! I did not get
much idea from the little snap shots, and I hoped you would send me a
picture of her at Christmas time. She looks so full of energy and joy at
being alive. I love to wink at her. I have another grand-niece now, living
only four blocks away from me, but she is barely three months old, while your daughter seems already an individual.
I mean Yehudi's5
Zamira6, of course course. They7 don't
bring her her when they come here8 for dinner of course, but
on my birthday, when I was having my tea in bed, they brought the baby and
walked right past the maid into my bedroom and put the baby into bed with
me. The maid brought some more tea and it was awfully jolly and unexpected.
I soon forgot that I had on the one ragged old j dressing jacket I possess, though I have
four lovely ones. A lot of flowers had been sent in, you see, and I was so
tired after arranging them all that I had tumbled into bed for my nap where
nobody could get at me—so I thought! This gossip is confidential to you and
Margaret Ist9. Tell Margaret II I
love her already.
