Congratulations to Dr. Andy Jewell, who graduated in August, 2004. His dissertation At the Edge of the Circle: Willa Cather and American Arts Communities explores Cather's relationships with a number of prominent arts figures in Boston, New York, and the Southwest.

Andy is currently working at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries as a Metadata Encoding Specialist. He most recently redesigned the Cather Archive website (cather.unl.edu), and he is working on a number of additional new undertakings for the Archive, such as an updated, electronic version of Janis Stout's A Calendar of Willa Cather's Letters and an archive of Cather's early Journalism in cooperation with Kari Ronning.
