- It "was fairly good of its kind. True, it was a pretty bad kind, the kind that summer hotel ladies term 'light literature' and that schoolgirls keep hidden in their desks and weep over. Nevertheless it had some kind of coherent structure because it was spontaneous, and some sort of spirit because it was done without an ulterior purpose and was not an imitation."
