—I declare I don't know whether your name is spelled with an e or an a—I am awfully sorry that I did not get up to bid you good bye before I left, but I got a telegram asking me to hurry home as my grandma5 was very ill.6 She is much better now but is still quite weak. All the other folks are well but James7 who has the measels at present. Elsie8 is a little beauty and is as cunning as she can be. The funniest thing she has FARM LOANS NEGOTIATED. It is hard on poor Louise to be called a form of the name she detests.
