My Dear Mariel1;

I will be with you sooner than I thought. I have been "Called Back"4 not by Hugh Conway5, but by the Pittsburgh Leader6. The telegram7 reached me just as I was starting west west and upset all my plans. I hate to go more than I care to say but it seems to be the right thing to do. I will arrive in Lincoln3 Friday afternoon. Will start east Tuesday. Roscoe8 will be in Lincoln before I leave.

Till I see you Willa
