Have had a delightful tour through Provence3 with the Hambourgs4. Got to the edge of Italy5, but Miss Lewis6 wrote from Naples7 urging me not to come because of the serious food shortage. She has just joined me here. We return to Paris8 for some weeks and sail from Marseilles9, Fabre Line, latter part of October.
