⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Miss Tarbell1;

I'd be so glad to be the guest of the Pen and Brush3 on January 4th, but I am going home to Nebraska4 to spend Christmas with mother5 and Father6, and will not be back in New York2 before January 18 or 20. Isn't it wonderful that I still have both mother and father to go back to? I feel so grateful. Please thank the Club for me, and let me come to see your club house7 some other time.

Faithfully yours Willa Cather
