Dear Mr. Anderson1;

Miss Cather was just leaving for Nebraska3 when your letter4 reached her. She asked me to drop you a line in regard to one or two questions that you asked her. She wanted me to say that by all means she would if she were you, write to Mrs. Wells5 for a statement; but she thought it would be better if you did not mention her in this connection, as Mrs. Wells is rather sensitive about the fact that her name is signed to a book6 she did not write.

Miss Cather also suggests that you write to S. S. McClure7 for a statement as to how the Christian Science material was gathered together, telling him you are doing so at her suggestion and explaining that you want the record for the historical files. She thinks Mr. McClure's statement would be useful and valuable as corroborative evidence.

Very sincerely yours, Ellen Burns8 Secretary Number five Bank Street9.
