⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Mrs. Luhon1:

Your letter came while I was in Maine3, and I have just come back2. I have decided to go to the Grand Canyon first and then to spend a little time at a ranch near Española4. I hardly think my friend5 and I will get to Toaaos6 at all, but if there is any chance of our doing so, I'll signal you and ask whether you have a house for us. I doubt whether we will stay in one place long enough to begin housekeeping. I would like to see you in Toaaos though, and your own house there.

I had a long walk with Elsie Sargent7 yesterday and told her I was sorry I'd knocked poor Amy Lowell8 so hard that night we dined with her. I was still in Maine when Miss Lowell died, and really was awfully sorry.

Very cordially yours9, Willa
