⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Fanny1;

My heart was broke entirely when you weren't there. The performance at the club4 was the most mismaged! But I had my usual happy visit with my old playfellow Mrs. Weisz5 (We once ran a play bank in a store box together.) Also I had my first chance to get really acquainted with Miss Roullier6. Please bring her to New York2 when you come, and let me know at least one week before you come, so that I won't be all tied up. I'm going to love my apartment—just in the middle of settling it now.

Happy New Year! Willa Cather
