⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Mr. Reynolds1:

I returned to New York2 only a month ago, and ever since I have been up to my ears in the exciting business of moving. The apartment is still more or less invaded by carpenters and electricians.

I haven't, alas, time to take any walks3, and won't have until my apartment is settled to my taste. As a mark of friendship, however, I will give you my new address, which very few people know or ever will know. It is a very safe hiding place; the number is 570 Park Avenue4. (Do not betray this address to any magazine!)

With many good wishes for the New Year, I am, as of old,

Your friend, Willa Cather
