Dear Dorothy1:

I don't know where you are; but wherever you are, I'm wishing you a merry Christmas and bright New Year. I didn't get home from France4 until late in November, which does shorten up the year. I was in Italy5 for August and September, and then spent the fall in Paris6 with Isabelle7 who is very ill. Don't get sick—that's all I ask of you. It's damnable! I'd love to see you when you're in town2—so many things I'd like to talk to you about.

My love and blessings Willa
