Dear Mr. Greenslet1;

By Wednesday's boat I shall send you three3 of the Knopf books4 with all the corrections made on the margins of pages, and a list of all the corrections pasted on the first end-page of each volume.

Please put these books in a safe place and keep them until we are ready to begin work on the subscription edition5. I think I should like to write a short preface to "One of Ours".

I know you are apt to be fishing at this season, and I beg whoever opens this letter to see that this package of books is kept on your desk until your return.

Faithfully yours Willa Cather
