Your letter made me very happy. The serious admirations of one's life are not so many, and I have long had that feeling for you. I am glad you felt it without my talking about it. It gives me pleasure to know that we both have strong and loyal love for the same things. That gives a strong foundation to friendship.

My right hand4 is still a bit uncertain, as you can see, but it writes without effort, though not always clearly.
