⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ My Dear Zoë1;

Thanks a lot. It is good to see your writing on a card. Yes, I think we'll need plenty of punch to see us through 1942.

Isn't Churchill3 splendid? He just loves to play a smart trick4. I don't know anyone else who enjoys life so much. It's a great gift: gives us all a lift. May win out in the end: the other fellow5 is such a black hater. Do read a book by Zeimer6 "Education for Death."7 It's authentic—and horrible enough. Undset8 put me next it.

Love and good wishes to you Willa

Dont miss it—but maybe you know it already??
