Do I remember Toby Tyler3? I certainly do. My grandmother4 read it aloud to me and my two brothers5 when we were small children. I wonder if you also read “Talking Leaves”6 which was, I think, put out by the same publisher7. I remember that the little square book looked very much like our friend Toby Tyler - had the same format - a printer would say.
I enjoyed looking through your Class Tattler. Any news from young people always
interests me - they are like thermometers thatwhich tell us what kind of
weather is going on - and what kind we may expect!
Good wishes, dear Sister Agatha, and I wish you a Happy and Holy Christmas. It is hard to be happy in these times, but we must try.
Cordially yours, Willa Cather
