My Dear Pat1;

My hearty congratulations on the spring number of The Idol3! A very lively sheet this number seems to me. I actually read it all through. I hope the Boners from the French Exams4 were genuine5—but they are almost too good to be true. I like the article6 on Doctor Kellogg7, and I'm sure I should like the Doctor himself.

I had tea with your mother8 this afternoon. She seems quite like herself again.

Affectionately Willa Cather

Please tell Mr. John John March9 that I mean to investigate F. W. Croft10.
