Dear Sister1

I want you to see the part of Helen Louise's4 letter in which she speaks of Christmas at home5. I do wish we could meet there next Christmas and have Douglass6 bring Helen, just for a few days. I suppose it's a dream. If Lizzie7 is still alive I know I could arrange everything so that you would get a rest and no worry. But there! Maybe you wouldn't like it, and maybe Doug. wouldn't.

Anyhow, I like to think about it.
