⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Miss Branch1:

Your special delivery letter reached me yesterday morning, one week late! Your second note was delivered yesterday afternoon, after I had left the office. I am so sorry that I have an engagement for tonight, and I think you are so good to ask me. Could you, I wonder come to tea with me here next Monday afternoon? I think Miss Bunner4 and some other people you know will come in then.

Very cordially yours, Willa Sibert Cather

Wasn't that a good afternoon at Mrs Fields5'!
