G. BIÜMEIN & CO., FRANCOFORTE S.M., RAPP. C. IMPERIALE – NAPOLI. My Dear Roscoe1

This is such a pale reflection of the unspeakable reality that I hesitate to send it. I had read about Naples and I had imagined—but how can a northern born creature imagine this? Multiply this color a hundred times and you have something like it. The sea is absolutely purple, the mountains lilac, the city more wonderful than Babylon3.
