Dearest Sister;1

I was so grateful to have a word from you this morning. I know how busy you are. I leave for San Francisco3 in the morning, and the enclosed address will reach me there. I do not expect to stay longer than a week4. I soon get tired of jaunting around when I feel sad and worried. Give my dearest love to mother5. I am awfully sorry to miss Will Auld's6 visit—please tell him so.

With love Willie
