"This, the family place of the Wadsworths," was erected by General Wadsworth in 1785. Here, Stephen Longfellow married a daughter of the General and later came into possession of the house. The building thus became the home of their son, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

I am here2 to make an address4 at the 100th anniversary of Longfellow5's graduation. Do get his "Golden Legend Legend"6 from the Library and read it.
