⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Miss Lane1:

I've written Mr. Knopf3 to send you the first part of the story4, which is in galleys, and I will send you the latter part, which is in manuscript. If you can let me have the whole thing, galleys and manuscript back by the 22nd, I shall be ever so grateful. The manuscript part must recieve its final corrections and go to the printers on the 30th, and Mr. Knopf called it in because I wanted to get to work on it.

Sincerely yours Willa Cather
