I am more than pleased that Herr Mann3 liked my remarks4 about his wonderful book, and am grateful to you for sending me the excerpt from his letter. The weather has been so fine here2 that I have been out of doors most of the time with my dear little Wyoming nieces5. (Nineteen is a grand age: I enjoy being in its company.) They leave the island on Monday, and I shall miss them terribly. I wish I could keep them all summer, but they have to go home6 for the wedding of an older sister7.
Please embrace Blanche12 for me, and tell her I shall write her as soon as I am nieceless.Yours always Willa Cather
