⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Mr. Beer1:

I forgot yesterday to ask you to call off the gin—a long forgotten order arrived Monday from a bootlegger I believed dead or jailed. He arrived with it in a cab. As I've no cellar I can't stow away much.

I forgot a good deal yesterday, among other things to thank you for the really wonderful butter-colored fresias, which have been quite fresh in an ivory bowl until today. I'm going to hold you to your promise about Miss Jewett3, and I beg you not to forget to lunch at Voisin's4, basement, 53d & Park Avenue.

yours etc Willa Cather
