⬩W⬩S⬩C⬩ Dear Louise1;

Such lovely little cakes for my tea! I used to have a rooster cake-cutter just like this one, in Virginia3, when I was little s. I opened the gin on Christmas eve, too, and found it potent enough. Why did you slander it? Thank you for both food and drink—you seem to be "keeping" me these days.

A Happy New Year, and I hope to see you very soon. Please come down for tea Saturday afternoon, January 8th

Yours, W. S. C.
