Dear Louise1;

I've had two cool quiet days here2, and tonight I take the plunge into Nebraska5 heat. I'll own I dread it! I went to the Library this morning, but Mr. Wyer6 has not yet returned. Before I left Wyoming7 I had a thrilling three days motor trip through the Big Horn Mountains. All the nieces8 were delightful all the time. I feel about a decade younger. played so much in years. But I can never love the Northwest as I do New Mexico9 and Arizona10. It's nearly train time, so I must say goodnight. I don't know when I'll be in N. Y.4 Just now I'd a good deal rather go to the Southwest than go abroad. All the same, a sea voyage is tempting tonight. I'll have a hot ride on no. 16.
